Ok strips of pizza with good anchovies and a nice tomato sauce. Suffers from not being super fresh right out of an oven. In a separate bowl, good marinated olives.

Excellent squid ink agnolotti, firm and tender, beautiful sheets of pasti, with perfect lump of crabmeat, sweet and flavourful. The underlying sauce is also very good, deeply flavoured with crab, ripe tomato, herbs, garlic and chilli. Nice pieces of red chilli cut perhaps a bit coarsely, a bite is too much and overwhelms the delicacy of the crab filling. But the spice is appreciated as it adds another coherent layer of flavour to the sweetness of the crab.

Sea bream with a potato crust is an ambitious, technique-driven dish that demands simultaneously tender moist fish and crispy potato crust. While not an overwhelming success compared to some of the superlative renditions I've had elsewhere, this version is well made, with a reasonable amount of potato crispness and fish moisture, though perhaps a touch oily (good olive oil though). A thoughtful base of samphire enhances the oceany flavours of the fish, and more contrast from a side salad of tomatoes with basil, frisee and radicchio leaf.

The bread is notable: lovely aroma of rosemary and sage. A moderately dense foccacia like bread with lovely granularity, the bread breaking in to tiny bits in the mouth as one chews on it. Thin crackers glistening with olive oil. A crusty white bread, best for sopping up sauces because of its neutrality. Totally worth the £2 cover charge.

Dessert was decent; a wobby chocolate panna cotta that contrasted nicely with a berry sauce and a scoop of chocolate gelato. Perhaps not the optimal choice, simply because Cocomaya is across the street.

On the whole an impressive meal, not without tiny faults, but delicious all the same.
