Dinner and a movie in Elmwood

So we'll have time to drive to Metairie or Kenner, maybe even Uptown.
Have to make it to the Elmwood Palace by 8:00, and we'll be starting out around 5.

So, we need a place for early dinner/drinks.

Any suggestions?

No food taboos- but not anywhere too fancy.

Just 2 ladies out for a fun evening.

Cafe Granada, tapas and sangria, the plus here is they get the food out pretty fast, and you can always order more if you're still hungry/still have time. Then it's a 10 minute drive to elmwood on River Road.
