Remember Deaney's?

So one time, when I was about 11 or 12, my family went on a road trip. We ate at Deaney's in Mandeville and it was the BEST crab au gratin I have ever had. Sadly, when we went back my junior year in high school, it was gone. I cried. Seriously. (Even though I felt stupid).

So does anyone know if the people at Deaney's opened another restaurant somewhere, or if not, if there is a place on earth I could get as good as that crab au gratin was?

Thanks, y'all.

just had some crabmeat au gratin at the Galley on Met. Rd....divine!
shared it as an app to spread on hot french bread (though it is an entree) huge chunks of the whitest, freshest lump meat.

Try Mr. Ed's in Metairie, just past Bucktown. Simple, succulent, and sinful.
