Eat Street Minneapolis
I will be near Eat Street tomorrow around lunchtime. Which restaurants do you love and what do you order there? Thanks.

Quang- the egg rolls are my favorite in the world. I usually go for the bun or the pho. The egg roll bun is really good.
Pho Tau Bay- the pho and bun again.
Peninsula- I love their tofu. They make it in house. My favorite is the Tofu Hotpot. Very good. I also love their fish. They do a great job with it.
The Black Forest is supposed to have good hamburgers. I love their pate.
Evergreen has really amazing food, but I always order something different, so I don't have a favorite. Everything is good.
I'd stay away from Rainbow, Seafood Palace, and the Pho place that claims "Best Soup in Town," they are all ho hum, IMHO. Bad Waitress is good for diner food. The Mexican Place that is not Salsa a la Salsa is good for seafood, but I can't think of the name. Safari is suppose to be very good, but I've only eaten at the one in Midtown Global Market.

There are several Mexican places. You might be referring to Pancho Villa. My favorite thing there is the Viking nachos - they are individually topped. I do believe that their seafood is probably their best executed and most authentic stuff, though.
Little Tijuana's is a very dive-y Mexican place - greasy spoon. It has it's place in chow-ville, though.
Taco Morelos probably is not worth your time, but it's the only place I know of it town that actually has molcajetes.
Azia's cream cheese puffs are good - they have cranberries in them. Thom's nod to Minnesota culture.
My favorite place on eat street is Evergreen. Connie prepares shrimp really well. I like their noodle dishes less than other dishes except for the Singapore noodles - I really enjoyed them. The weekend menu there is much larger than the weekday menu. Make sure to check the specials board - if asparagus on it, order it. It's fantastic. Connie's famous for her vegetarian dishes. The best dish on the menu is the eggplant with basil. The potstickers and steamed buns are really good, too.

Agreed, sorta. Morales is wholly skippable, but it's odd - it actually has authentic items, but they are executed so poorly. It's sole draw is that one item. I wish I could find it somewhere else. Any tips out there?
Lil' T's is by no means authentic. Having said that, I would rather eat there than Morales if only because it can at least scratch the itch of greasy food craving. It's shame eating - walk in with a big hat and sunglasses and hope no one you know sees you. It's also good hangover food. I also like getting a big platter of their nachos - it's $10 a giantic - to go to have to serve guests when they come over at the last minute. And it *is* better than Toxic Hell, er rather Taco Bell, which I refuse to patronize.
