Manor Restaurants

Thought we would leave RR for a drive in the country this weekend. Dale Rice reviewed Manor Cafe 290. The CFS picture in the paper did look good. Also, someone mentioned Good Luck Cafe outside of Manor. Would appreciate any recommendations.

    And if you happen in to the Cafe 290 for breakfast, they are not on the menu, but you can order delicious banana or banana pecan pancakes.

        I'm a fan of Cafe 290 for its reliable tastiness. The food isn't fancy or new, but it's good, and the waitresses offer to top up your coffee cup the moments the level falls below full. I've mostly eaten there for breakfast and they do make some excellent hash browns. I wouldn't make a special trip out there from RR or Austin, but if you're heading out that way and are hungry when you pass Cafe 290, it's not a bad place to stop for a meal. HTH.
