BBQ in Lake Gaston/Littleton NC

I'm headed to Littleton for a wedding and would be eager to sink my teeth into some authentic NC bbq if I can. I've never been to the region, so if anybody can share any ideas about where I might find some either in/near Littleton or on the way from the airport in Raleigh-Durham, I would be most grateful. Thanks!

Not sure if this is too late as I just see your request now. Grandpa's Kitchen on E. South Main Street/highway 158 in Littleton has good BBQ and BBQ chicken.

Also, if you're there on the weekend and want to take some back, the flea market on River Road, down the road from Wildwood Nursery, there's a guy who has a booth there who sells really good bbq.

That's where I will be getting a smoked pork butt this week while I'm at Gaston and pull it off myself.

Enjoy the wedding and the lake, it's beautiful, and I'm not biased just because I was married on the lake there... :P

I had pulled pork bbq & slaw from the guy at the flea market last week. It was awesome! Lots of fresh produce and seafood for sale also.
