Avery Fifteen
Tried this the other night and snapped up a few bottles at the store. 100% brettanomyces, figs, white pepper, and hibiscus flowers are some of the ingredients. Very tasty brew, lots of interesting subtle flavors. Don't miss this one, it's a real winner.

Tried it on tap at Barcade in Brooklyn the other night. I couldn't taste the hibiscus, but it certainly a complex brew and definitely an interesting mix of subtle flavors. I split a 10oz pour and that was enough. I commented to the tender that this is, well, a really weird beer. I asked him if anyone actually drank it (Ok, I was skeptical) and he said that it was "popular". I haven't seen bottles of it around, but would like to get some to cellar.

re: Josh
I had it on tap in Orange County and the bartender kept asking people to taste it before pouring as apparently people were surprised and less than thrilled with the taste.
I should have kept my mouth shut and taken the taste first rather than telling him I had already had it and loved it. :)

Had it on tap at The Liar's Club tonight and wasn't overly impressed. I think I may have had higher expectations based off your rec. Don't get me wrong, I liked it and thought it was good but I wouldn't go out of my way to drink it again. For my money I would rather drink The Lost Abbey's Red Barn which is pretty easy to find around here.

I didn't enjoy the samples I had from a keg. I thought the brett character was one dimensionally farmy (barnyard, horse/cow dung) instead of brightly acidic along with some of those barnyard flavors that I expect from a brett beer. I thought the hibiscus aspect was done well though. And I've read reports that the bottled version has a different brett character.

Thanks for the rec! Is this a new one from Avery, and do you know if it's widely released? We get quite a few of Avery's brews in OKC, but I haven't seen this one yet.
