Reuben Dog @ Hot Dog City, Santa Rosa

A few months ago, I returned to Hot Dog City in downtown Santa Rosa for a quick bite. Working my way through the menu, I tried the Reuben dog this time, as shown here,

This was dressed with mustard, Thousand Island dressing, imported Swiss cheese and good sauerkraut. Eating it outside at a sidewalk table, the cheese hardened quickly as it cooled down and got kind of tough. But I do like the careful proportions and snap of the Schwarz weenies. Otherwise, this is another good one in the strong line-up here.

I was sorry to learn that the location in Coddingtown has since closed and consolidated downtown.
