Chicago Food Trip

I am coming to Chicago Monday through Wednesday(leaving Thursday A.M.). I have reservations at L2O on Monday and Graham Elliot on Tuesday. I am on the waiting list at Alinea on Wednesday. I probably won't get in, but I want to keep my night open just in case, so I need your help. Any suggestions for a good place that doesn't require reservations, within a reasonable cab ride of the Hotel Allegro (171 W. Randolph)?

Blackbird's little sister, Avec, doesn't accept reservations, and is 5 blocks from your hotel. I am sure you can find plenty of reviews by searching this board.
