Are there good restaurants for small wedding & reception in NYC or the Tristate area?

I'm wondering if there are restaurants in the NYC, Westchester County, Tri-state area where someone can both get married and have a tasty reception for 45-55 guests. My fiance and I would love to have a very brief ceremony in a small attached garden, courtyard or section or the restaurant & once the ceremony is done, simply turn around and enter a dining area where we can sit down and have a wonderful meal among friends and family.
Any suggestion??...thx in advance!!

  1. I went to a beautiful wedding at Rasputin Restaurant on Coney Island Ave. The restaurant accommodated both the ceremony and reception which comfortably fit 300 guests. Not only was the space lavishly decorated with exotic and beautiful flowers but the food was absolutely delicious! We had a choice of lamb chops or grilled salmon as entrees. A big bonus is that Rasputin is renowned for its live band and cabaret show and the entertainment really added to the overall celebratory vibe – the dance floor was packed. It’s the perfect venue for special occasions that will be memorable forever.

    1. Congratulations on your engagement!

You have not mentioned anything about budget, obviously, an important factor in choosing a wedding venue.

Gascogne, on 8th Av., b/t 17th & 18th Sts., is a charming French bistro with excellent food and one of the most delightful gardens in Manhattan. They can accommodate groups up to 50, so if you can keep your guest list to that number, you're golden.

Blue Hill in Greenwich Village and at Stone Barns (not in NYC) would both meet your specifications.

I would second Blue Hill, the Stone Barns location for a wedding and reception would be great. A wedding occuring in the new york city location wouldn't work, but perhaps for a reception. For a reception in the city, check out Per Se.
