Felt they warranted a new thread since the prior threads are outdated.
Had the opportunity to return to Lola's 2x over the past week and had 2 outstanding meals.
Tried several apps and entrees and there were no misses and SEVERAL standouts.

STANDOUTS included the Maryland blue crab cake, "falling off the bone" beef short rib, purple potato skins and the ricotta gnocchi.

The Maryland blue crab cake contained plenty of fresh crab and was not filled with excessive dough as a filler.

The beef short rib was one of the best dishes I've had in a while. It comes in two sizes and I regret ordering the small plate. Everything about this dish worked. The beef was tender and very flavorful.

The purple potato skins were served with a sundried tomato creme fraiche, smoked bacon bits and caviar. Combinations really worked well together.

The ricotta gnocchi was served with a mushroom sauce, shaved riccota salata and drizzled white truffed oil. Gnocchi was perfectly light and the mushroom/truffles tasted great. Hard to pass on this dish. Also comes in two sizes.

The next tier included the baked California brie and the double cut Berkshire pork chop. Both were very good but not as good as the aforementioned standouts. The whole grain mustard sauce that accompanied the pork chop was very tasty and paired well with the pork chop. The baked brie is not really my thing but it's good.

The grilled skirt steak was good but not great. I didn't love the parmesan potato au gratin and felt the homemade steak sauce was overpowering. The sauce wasn't bad just too much for my taste buds. That said, I wouldn't be surpised if the dish had fans.

Only disappointment was the orecchiette which is served with broccoli rabe and sweet Italian sausage in a chicken stock. Didn't love he chicken stock and thought the orrecchiette itself was just ok. Fulvio's version down the street is better.

n a nutshell, we had two great meals. Service was very professional and much improved from prior visits. (service was great when they first opened but hit some bumps along the way)

Wine markups appeared reasonable. I opted for the 3 glass wine flight for $14 that had generous pours. Don't recall the producers but my flight had a bordeux, a malbec and cab. All were good.

I would head over if you haven't been and I would recommend going back if you haven't been in a while.

    Thanks for the update. How was the noise level? They were supposedly going to do something about it. We were one of the disappointed on our last visit, but we will definitely go back.

      Good question. I actually commented during both dinners that the noise level was much lower than in the past. It should be noted that I was not there on a packed Fri or Sat night. I did notice ceiling treatments but not sure if they were always there.

        Had another solid meal recently. Menu has been updated and attached below. They also have 50% off Select Bottles of Wine on Sundays and a large craft beer menu for beer fans

          Thanks, Chowfather for the update. We did go back a couple of weeks ago and everything was delicious. The night we went the weather was gorgeous, so we ate outside, but with summer fast approaching, it's good to know you can eat indoors and still hear yourself think.
