Martinez - Main Street Sweets
What a nice small town candy shop ... jars of hard candy, lolipops, about 10 flavors of Gunther's ice cream.
Best of all is the house-made chocolate. The specialties are the rocky road and chocolate covered-pretzels. Neither the shop nor chocolate is fancy. I enjoyed the bark ... white, milk and dark chocolate It was thicker than most with almonds. It reminds me of a mini Liled's ... but better. The bark tasted like how chocolate Easter bunnies once tasted.
The owner, Linda Filomeo, was very nice. She is a Martinez native and the shop is about 10 years old.
