Friends want to go there soon with us. Anyone been recently? Any comments?

pretty nice room. went twice last year, once for drinks (meh) and another for apps (also meh). on our second visit the kitchen was searing off some scallops and the whole place smelled like scallops that were a bit 'off.'

if you do go, please post back as Newburyport has never impressed us as far as dining is concerned.
