I need a great downtown lunch

My husband and I will be in Chicago for the first time. Our hosts will be treating us to dinner (steakhouses... not my favorite) and our only free time will be lunch on Saturday. I'd like to find someplace downtown (we will be staying at The Drake) that has great food. It doesn't have to be fancy, just yummy. We like most ethnic foods. I'm really looking for a great bang for the buck kind of place. The kind of place that locals go to and is conveniently left off of the tourist maps! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Topolobampo (Rick Bayless's "fancier" restaurant is top-flight and a real bargain at lunch--and (unlike his Frontera Grill next door) you can make a reservation.

I sneaked a peak at your reply to "madgreek99". Unfortunately, Topolobampo is open only from Tuesday to Friday and my family will be at the Drake on Saturday and Sunday. Any other similar suggestions? Thanks.

Well, I was able to squeeze in Quartino... delicious, Frontera...tacos al pastor were fabulous, and Table 52... everything was perfect. Thanks for the tips.

I like the Rosebud's on Rush......love the fried calamari and the burgers, great value. Anyway, from the Drake Hotel...it is about 4 city blocks going towards south on N. Michigan, and a quick block to the right (going west). Also, India House on Grand is excellent.
