Question about blogs
I primarily haunt the southwest board and there are a few people who post what I would call a "teaser" on chowhound and then a full review of a restaurant on their blogs... linking to the blog. while I understand it is perfectly fine to link to a blog... but shouldn't the chowhound post be somewhat complete?
I read this site so I can read multiple posts in one place... if I like your blog well enough to read it regularly I will. I would rather choose to read a blog because I enjoy a certain poster's comments and want to know more about them.... is that so wrong?
I hate being "forced" to jump to a blog just to read the full review. I also am irked by the idea of someone trying to drive traffic to their blog by an incomplete post. anyone else noticed this?
![header=[] body=[<img alt='' class='photo' src='http://www.chow.com/uploads/2/3/2/47232_team_picture_large.jpg?20120523220005' /><br /><strong>withalonge</strong>] cssbody=[user_tooltip]](http://www.chow.com/uploads/9/2/2/47229_team_picture_tiny.jpg)
I posted a link to my blog once, (although it was deleted so I thought maybe it was a no no) but it was not to drive traffic, I just thought the story would be too long to post here. Maybe that is the way people are thinking ass well?

We do ask that everyone post their thoughts on Chowhound rather than steering people to their blog to read them. If you see situations where people are posting basically content free posts to Chowhound and asking people to visit their blog, please use the 'report' function to let us know.
