Lunch in Niagara Falls, Ontario?

Ron M Jul 23, 2008 03:20 AM

I am seriously stumped where to take my Dad for lunch in Niagara Falls. I've yet to read anything good about the food in the area, plus he's an older gentleman who doesn't like anything besides standard fare (no Thai, Sushi, Indian, Chinese). Standard diner food is very okay.

To make this easier I'll take recommendations for anywhere in the Niagara Region. So can anyone recommend a place that can serve two guys lunch for under $20.00 each including tax and tip?

Betty's Restaurant in Chippawa (10 minutes north of the Falls) would fit the bill: www.bettysrestaurant.com. You could also try Basell's Restaurant and Tavern downtown, at 4880 Victoria. I haven't been there for 20 years, but even then it was an institution. These are both places I would take my in-laws, who sound very much like your Dad.

Betty's sounds great. I've also heard good things about Basell's as well.

Basell's does a good standard all day breakfast too.
