All Clad round grill pan
Does anyone have this pan? If yes are you satisfied with it and what is the benefit of using a grill pan? Does it affect the taste of the food?
I am tempted to get one but want to know its practicality.
One major benefit of using a grill pan is appearance -- the grill marks. The All-Clad grill pans I'm acquainted with are non-stick. Good grill marks are supplied by fairly high heat. there's a general consensus these days that non-stick should not be heated to a high temperature.
For grill marks, cast iron will do you well. Heat it as high as you want.
I have this and it is completely worth the cost. I wanted a grill pan after seeing so many TV chefs cooking with it and getting those oh so desired grill marks. I chose the All Clad only because of a sale that I couldn't pass up, but I am not regretting it for a second! I have cooked in it steaks, grilled chicken, pork chops, and vegetables. It cleans up beautifully as it is non stick, and my food is gorgeous! I think that the reason that the food tastes better from this pan is because it looks better, and the visual is part of the taste experience.
