Will be staying at Rabbit Hill Inn (Lower Waterford) and looking for some ideas for lunch while we're in the area. Thanks!

  1. Great choice -- have enjoyed great dinner @ Rabbit Hill Inn!
We're big fans of Elements in St. Johnsbury. They have a varied contemporary menu with lots of locally sourced food. Across the river in Littleton, Miller's cafe on the Ammonoosuc River is outstanding. Flavorful and creative sandwiches, interesting side salads, some of the best gazpacho I've ever had and extremely good deserts. Both places have outside decks if the weather is nice (Miller's is the better of the 2 decks, overlooking river and covered bridge.)

Elements was my first thought as well..they are wonderful! Unfortunately, it seems like they are only open for dinners . :(

Thanks for the info -- and links! Maybe we'll try Elements for one of our dinners and Miller's for lunch.

      2. Great news! After being devastated in a flood and closing for a long time the River Garden Cafe in Burke will reopen Thursday, July 24. Open seven days for dinner, Wednesday thru Saturday for lunch, and Sunday Brunch. Great place to go for luch, nice garden location, and a scenic drive.
