Recs for City Island and Bronx

We're going to be spending some time on City Island in addition to our usual UWS friends'. Are there any "don't miss" places on City Island as well as the Bronx. We'll have a car so that's no problem. Anything special on Arthur Avenue? I've tried searching this board but with "city" and "island" being used so often, it was hard to get specific. Thanks in advance.
City Island has a couple of good places.
You can go to the Black Whale. They have a solid menu and the meals are delicious, but they really have the best dessert so save room for that. They also have a prix fixe menu which is a great deal.
You should definitely do Johnnie's Reef. It's heaven for fried food. You can sit at cafeteria style tables (very casual) and order anything from fried shrimp to fried frogs legs. They also make things broiled, so if you don't like fried you can try that. The best deal is the beers and frozen drinks for about 3 to 4 dollars each.
You can also try Artie's seafood. It was recently written up and is a great Italian seafood place.
On Arthur Ave try Roberto's new restaurant Zero Otto Nove. It's great food and less of a wait than Roberto's. Also, If you go to Arthur Ave for lunch go to Mario's and ask for the pizza. It's not on the menu and they only serve it as an entree for lunch, but it's some of the best pizza I've ever tasted.
Thanks. They all sound terrific. We have eaten at Artie's and had a quite nice scallop dish. The only place we've eaten on Arthur Avenue is Dominick's about ten years ago which was such a fun experience :) We live in No. Calif. so when we come to NY we don't want to reinvent the wheel while deciding on dining. The Chowhounds guide us well. Thanks to all of you.
