First time traveller to Halifax--Advice?
Hi everyone,
I have travelled extensively throughout Canada, the US and abroad, but have yet to travel to the East Coast of Canada. What are your must try-- restaurants, dishes, local pubs....? Any advice for me?

Thats a great thread for Halifax eateries. However, man (or woman) does not live by Halifax bread alone...if you are planning on coming to this area, you must head down the South Shore.
Stop at Mahone Bay for a coffee, sandwich, homemade goodie at The Biscuit Eater.
Pick up some fresh-baked something at LeHavres sp?) Bakery.
Then on to Lunenburg for a brew at the Knot Pub. Stay two nights and you can have a high-end excellence feast at Fleur de Sel the first night and then enjoy the ambiance and inventive pasta mains and wonderful imaginative appetizers at Trattoria della Nonna.
I am pretty sure the scenery is great along the South Shore/Lighthouse Route as well, but being a foodie...
