Dessert near St. Lawrence Market

Going to Rainbow Cinemas Market Square one evening this week and wanted to go somewhere after the movie for dessert. Not sure what we'll be in the mood for but decent cake, pie, ice cream etc are all fine options.

What are some decent dessert options in that general vicinity?

The only thing I can think of is Solferino for gelato a bit west of there on Wellington.

Thanks for that... my first thought was Marche/Richtree but I haven't been there in ages. I know the food is great but they used to have yummy desserts.

It must've been ages since I don't remember the last time their food was great.

I agree with Solferino but check their hours. They differ throughout the week. Plus one hot night this summer I was there and the owner closed the place early when he deemed the melting gelato unservable.

Had the best cake ever at Jamie Kennedy's Wine bar!
It was a white cake - can't recall the non-English name - with a strawberry reduction on top. The cake can be described as a heavenly merger between angel food cake and cheese cake. It was perfect.
There menu does change daily, but it is probably worth checking out! There other offering, goat cheese panna cotta was forgettable, but by no means bad.
