Otto Pizza

Lured my daughter into Otto with promises of great pizza and gelato (she's had from the stand in Wash Square park). The pizza was better than I remembered, particularly the thickly cut spicy salami (pepperoni?). Unfortunately my daughter filled up on bread sticks and bread and we passed on the gelato. Big mistake. I wanted to try to get her to taste the olive oil gelato which is heavenly.

I've always enjoyed the pizza, as have various people I've dragged w/me over the years. And, yes, their olive oil gelato is delicious.

I had to move away from NY 2 years ago, but Otto is usually on my "must-visit" list when I come back. On my last trip there, last month, I thoroughly enjoyed my pizza, and in addition to the olive oil gelato, I had a salted caramel gelato that was incredible. The wine list, however, always daunts me... so many choices!

the bartender's there are INCREDIBLE at helping you choose a wine...The best place is to sit at the bar...have to gert there before five though!

I was there recently and enjoyed the pizza more than i had before. the olive oil gelato is so delicious, i dream about it. when we were there my friend had a cantaloupe sorbet, that was absolutely amazing.every time i've had a friend taste the olive oil gelato, they don't really care for it. i think you either love it, or hate it.

I'd agree with you completely about the olive oil gelato. I've always heard so many people rave about it. I tried it, and while it did grow on me a bit as I ate it, I would not order it again. The pizza on the other hand was delicious!
