I know its not a gourmet establishment, but considering dinner at Mission Grill prior to IMAX movie at Franklin Institute as I have never tried it and it is conveniently located. Has anyone been to Mission Grill and can describe? The other option I'm considering is the Public House, where I know we can get a pretty good burger or sandwich & beer. How does Mission Grill compare?

I have been there for lunch about a half dozen times, but not yet for dinner. That being said, the food is excellent - modern southwestern/mexican inspired dishes, and the ambience is warm and casually upscale (I may have just coined a phrase). The yellow gazpacho is addictive, and I love the muzzels with chorizo. I don't think you can go wrong there.

Thanks doxie...we love gazpacho...I think we will give it a try...they are offering $20 off on their website which is a nice incentive!

I dunno...I think the food at Mission Grill is like that of TGIF. Take your pick...both are close to FI.

TX we did try the Mission Grill, great margaritas, and we had apps for dinner. The gazpacho was not good though. Service was a little spotty and the prices are high for what you get, but overall a decent experience. Mission Grill is a step up from TGI Fridays (Please!! have you eaten at that location? It is terrible.) but overall I think we would have had better value wiht a burger at the Public House.
