arnolds drive in, mohegan lake, close to movies

Looking for a place near the UA cortlandt town center movie theater, decided to try Arnold's in Mohegan lake. The theme is a 50s style soda shop, I had a burger, the kids had pulled pork sandwiches and we split some fries. It was all good and reasonably priced.

they have some interesting foodie facts in the booths:
- calamari comes from nyc fish market
- burgers use black angus beef

The place was pretty crowded, service was great and everyone there seemed happy with their food. I saw an order of wings that looked worth trying, fried chicken looked great...we'll definitely be back.

Its about 3 minutes from the movies on rt 6:
1805 E Main St
Mohegan Lake, NY 10547

  1. They've been there for a while -- they have a website:

Interesting that you say that you saw wings since they are not listed on the menu on their site. I had ordered them when we ate there in the past (not recently) and they were pretty good, as was the fried chicken. My wife enjoyed their burgers. We should go back :-). Actually I think the last time we were there I got into an argument with the owner because they had a coupon (they still have them in Clipper) we were using and they took off the coupon amount but not sales tax on it, and when I pointed out that he was wrong he told me that I didn't know what I was talking about.

They have carhops that deliver food in roller skates.
