Troy, MI Ashoka question

I posted last week asking a question that didn't get answered.

I related my experience at Ashoka in Canton. I wondered if I wasn't impressed with that location is it worth trying the Troy location. Nobody answered but I am still very curious about the answer from anyone who has visited both.

Thank you!

  1. This probably won't help, but we really like the Troy location. That said, I've never used the restrooms so I can't tell if they are clean and have not been to the Canton. Don't remember getting plain rice, but I'm more interested in the sauce...medium is just fine for me...might be too mild for you. I like it much better than Priya in Troy. We were taken there by a friend who is from India and it's always packed with Indian families at night. Love their Naan! I'm not sure where you live, but it might been worth the drive. My only issue is that they close between 2:30 and 5:30 and won't answer the phone for a take-out order one minute before 5:30. Then I have a 15 minute drive.

Thanks for the reply. I may check it out still just a different Chef may make a difference. I don't mind mild if it has that tingle of eat. At the Canton location the food was good mind you but no hint of heat at all and not stand out from other Indian I've had. I work nearer to Troy than I live so I may have to arrange a lunch out there. Thanks for your insight.
