Quartino's on State is excellent Italian and not that expensive. Great wine selection too - it can get busy though, I would call ahead.

Thanks for the recommendation. I ate at Quartino - it was great! I have been going to Chicago for business for the last 7 years and I have never stumbled upon this place and wish i did sooner.

Quartino is only about 2 1/2 years old, so don't kick yourself for not finding it a lot sooner.

Spiaggia on N. Mich. is great. Very expensive, but great. There's so much in the area, it's hard to narrow down. I'd search the board for recommendations on Michigan Ave.

Bistro 110 is moderate French, Frontera Grill further west is upscale Mexican...there's literally anything you can think of within walking distance.
