Great dinner spot in Tacoma that uses fresh, local ingredients...

The calamari appetizer is a must!

For Dinner The Primo Grill is very good. Lately, Maxwell's has been very, very impressive. (Sixth and St. Helens.) Breakfast: The Southern Kitchen at Sixth & Division. Lunch: The Pick Quik in Fife will win your heart.

Get yourselves over to Maxwell's, which is just a couple blocks north of the hotel. The chef, Matt Colony, [late of the Beach House & Pacific Grill], has been playing with the menu and has many treats in store. Truly fine meals are coming out of that kitchen - and it doesn't hurt that the room is terrifically inviting as well.

And while there's a number of inviting view spots down on Ruston, don't bother if you're looking for a fabulous meal.

BurbankSunflower, The suggestions listed are excellent. DO NOT eat at the Hotel Murano.

I hear nothing but raves about Maxwell's. Fine dining. For lunch, we always love The Spar. Soups are great and I LOVE the Spar chips!

Agreed, Maxwell's is delicious, and just what we needed in Tacoma.
