Where to eat near Walnut Creek - Concert Pavillion Raleigh?

rq1 Jul 20, 2008 03:36 PM

Teen child has convinced us to attend some concerts over the next few months. Is there any place near Walnut Creek that isn't a chain? I haven't spent much time in that part of Raleigh.

If you like Mexican head over by the WalMart off New Hope Church Rd - Ronald St. There is a place over there that has been recommended by several on this board. It is good, reasonably priced and fast. It isn't far from Walnut Creek via the beltline.

Fonda y Birreria Jalisco is indeed very special and worth the visit but it is nowhere even close to Walnut Creek.

Ever thought about tailgating? I know a lot of folks who do that before concerts at Walnut Creek, in no small part due to the lack of decent dining close by the venue. I'd be willing to bet that you could pick up some pretty good chow to tote with you.

The only option you have over there is tailgating
