Petrillo's in Peabody

Heard about this place many times including a caller on the Pat Whitley restaurant show this AM. Everyone raves about it especially an Italian friend of mine which, to me, indicates it must be good. Has anyone eaten there? It is located on Foster Street.
And, if it is open for lunch, are the prices reasonable?

I love it there. The prices aren't cheap, but reasonable for the quality of food you get. Everything I've had is great, but their seafood dishes are the best. Call ahead and make reservations regardless of the night, just in case. Enjoy.

Petrillos is good but it is pricey. One of The best Italian places I have ever eaten at is Gallo Nero on Main street in Peabody. It looks like a pizza shop but I highly recommend their pasta dishes. It is a hidden gem with authentic delicious Italian food. The vodka penne is to die for. They have an open kitchen so you can watch them create your meal. Portions are ample. The pizza is also very good.

There is simply no better Italian restaurant. I have eaten at Petrillo's many times and the food is great. I have recommended many friend to go there and they have loved it. The food is worth every penny. The staff and ownership treat the customers like family. If you live in the North Shore don't bother going to the North End because you will not find a better restaurant there.

No better Italian restaurant, that's pretty high praise.

I have recently become quite a fan of Vinny's at Night in Somerville.

Yes, really great food and owners are super nice. We tend to get take out (just easier with little kids) and their takeout menu is really reasonably priced although it does differ a bit from the dine in menu. They package everything really well and send you off with a good stash of crusty italian bread. Really, really good Italian food. Check it out.
