The gang who run Japango are from Osaka, might be worth calling ahead and seeing if they'll do a special menu for you. They're a fun bunch, and genuinely proud of their Osaka roots (as most Osaka natives are!). Plus they run a great restaurant.

I've had pretty good saba battera sushi at Toshi Sushi on King St. W. It was a little less pickle-y than the stuff that I used to get in Osaka, but i actually prefer it less sour.
