Help! Dropped the ball on Anniversary Dinner (PHX)
It's a classic case of "I thought you were making the reservations" for our 1 year anniversary. Our plan was to go to T. Cook's, but of course, it is booked solid for tonight.
We going to call all of the below, but in case we're lucky enough to get to choose and not have to go with whatever is open......what would you put at the top of the list and if you can add a restaurant, please do.
Lon's at the Hermosa
Richardson's (I know they don't take reservations, but this is the only restaurant on the list we've been to before and we really enjoyed it)
We've ruled out Binkley's and Kai due to distance. What else would make for a tasty romantic evening?
Rancho Pinot maybe? Dont know if its super romantic but we had a great meal there for valentines day after getting drinks at the jade bar at elements for sunset(which was very romantic). Veneto trattoria is in scottsdale, very nice italian, great wine list, also had a nice romantic dinner there a few months ago and everything was superb. Also, if Italian sounds good, Marcellino's in central phoenix is a favorite of mine, owners are genuine and clearly care about the food they serve with great ambiance.
None of these places are outright romantic but have great food and are definitely more romantic than Richardson's. Reservations also probably would not be a problem as I've walked into Rancho Pinot and Veneto Trattoria on weekends and been sat within twenty minutes

I would recommend Cowboy Ciao in Scottsdale or Coup des Tartes in Phoenix.
Both would be quite nice for an anniversary dinner. Coup is the more romantic of the two and CC can get a bit loud, but the food at both is top notch.
