San Antonio - Riverwalk/Downtown with Children

My family is going to be staying in San Antonio by the Alamo/Riverwalk. While knowing that there are better restaurants throughout the city, I am looking for what is worth eating down on the Riverwalk or nearby walking or trolley distance. My kids are 3 and 6, so I am looking for very casual place and not too far of a hike. I know the mall has places to eat, but who has the best salsa and enchiladas or chili relleno in that area?
