mambooster7 Jul 18, 2008 03:10 PM

For all of you planning a trip and looking for good places to eat , this is a great reference for the area of Banderas Bay (Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta and further North)
This is the fourth time virtual vallarta makes this poll and every year it grows.
You will find some new cathegories from last year, some restaurants have won a few times in a row, some are new to these awards too.

Consistently appearing for several years are: La Piazzeta, Archie's Wok , Café Des Artistes,
El Arrayán , Pie in the Sky, Daikiri Dick's , Mark's, La Palapa

Here is the adress to all awards and categories, including runner's up at Reader's Choice 2008:

Hope it helps !

Muchas Gracias, we are heading to PV on Friday. With a vegetarian daughter, we need all the restaurant reviews we can muster.

Go to http://todopuertovallarta.yuku.com/fo... and type vegetarian in the search bar. There's a lot of information. At this time of year it's wise to check if the restaurant is open since many close for the summer.

Gotta say that's a lame list of "winners." Aside from the view, Vista Grill is nothing special. It's sister restaurant Tikul, in the Marina, is far better (and better priced). Cafe des Artistes is still a good dining experience, but not really Mexico. Trio, while still a fine dining experience, has nods to the local flavors. And for cheap street food, I really liked Joe Jack's fish tacos.
