florida road trip
I'm talking a road trip down to south florida along I-95. Looking for good local places to eat both coming and going. Also in south georgia 95. Fried chicken, BBQ , seafood, whatever is good. Can be upscale too. Thanks!

I highly suggest Dixie Crossroads in Titusville for seafood. It's about 2 miles off of 95. Great for rock shrimp (think mini-lobster tails, but still shrimp), broiled is the best way. And I've been told that the Cape Canaveral special is tasty, too. Prices run from around $10 for a basket meal, or $25+ for the specials and platters. Very casual. Just don't go on a rocket launch day because the wait is extremely long.

In the same area as Dixie Crossroads, there' Cafe Marguax ( http://www.margaux.com/ ). This would be under the "upscale" heading.
Still in Brevard County but a little south of the above (I-95's Exit 191) would be Conch Key Grille ( http://www.conchkeygrille.com/ ) and Captain Katanna's ( http://www.katannas.com/ ). Both are located on Rt.1, right on the Indian River. Also in this neighborhood is Long Dogger's ( http://www.longdoggers.com/ ), which is a local favorite.
