Pipa has something including ALL THOSE ingredients but with a twist!
    _____

Stuffed Endive Leaves stuffed with a mixture of dates and bacon, covered in a cabrales cheese, sauce, sprinkled with toasted almonds and baked!

Alta serves dates w/ almonds wrapped in bacon along with bacon-wrapped olives.

I really like the ones at Alta. It helps that not as many people like the bacon-wrapped olives, so I reap the windfall when I share an order LOL!

lol... I will fight to the death for the odd date. I feel like I'm just eating those olives because they're wrapped in bacon :)

the salt bar has the best dates in bacon.
we go there for a glass of wine and the dates in bacon specifically.
i have tried to master the recipe - it sets off my smoke alarm every time.

                  A special at Coco Pazzo:

"I immediately glommed on to the special appetizer - figs, stuffed with gorgonzola, wrapped in prosciutto, battered and fried (deep fried!). Wow - this was fantastic - wonderful combination of flavors and textures, and perfectly fried."

You could see if they are offering it and have them with a glass of wine at the bar.
