Its your basic hamburger stand, but the breakfast burritos are great.
Theyre big. I usually eat only a half of one.
Theyre made with real ingredients. A big soft flour tortilla, fresh eggs, melted cheese and real meat: ham, sausage or bacon, or a combination of meat, or no meat. I get the ham and its real sliced ham, not the cubes of questionable origin you get at the chain fast food places.
The salsas good, too. I think it brings the whole thing together.
Its all the way out in Pasadena.
It takes a long time to get your order.
Its a hamburger stand, so no real dining experience.
It can get crowded, especially when you want your breakfast burrito.
If you can put up with the minuses (which I can only do rarely), the breakfast burritos at Lucky Boy are really good. Theyre better hot and fresh, but theyre also really good if you bring them home to eat. The hot tip is to coax someone else into going and getting them, and bringing them home, or to work, or to the ballgame.
