Redemption at Richard's Bistro (Manchester, NH)

Ok, I admit it, I was harsh with my last take on Richard's but it was well deserved at the time.... but how my mind has changed! I went tonight with hubby and was treated to a complementary appetizer of chicken skewers with a peanut sauce. brought the the table by Richard himself, prepared by Matthew Provencher his co-owner and head chef... superb! (then of course, the incredible bread basket followed...) hubby and I ordered the sampler to share, and he got his standby the lobster and I ordered the broiled haddock... BOTH were perfection on a plate. We then were given the dessert menu and opted for the mini version of creme brulee and bread puddings for a mere $3 each.

Now, I am not much for desserts, and I never usually get them, but I am so glad I did. My creme brulee was so decadent I had to savor each bite, slowly letting it melt on my tongue before I dared to swallow it. Service with Lisa was fantastic! If you go, ask for Lisa, you will be so glad you did.

I can't wait for the chefs tasting event coming up.

this may be a silly question, but did the staff know that you posted a negative review on CH?

nope, because this is the first time I have ever posted immediately after eating, and posted what we had for dinner. The last time I posted I waited a few days and I also made sure I only stated what one person was eating.

Add to this everyone in the entire restaurant last night got the same free appetizer service, so I know I was not singled out.
