Philly birthday lunch spot?

skippyjon1 Jul 16, 2008 04:40 PM

I'll be in Philadelphia (downtown) for just a few hours in late August. I'd like to take my lunch partner somewhere fabulous for his birthday. Street food's what we normally eat, and I know downtown's got a lot to offer, but is there a great sit down spot we could try? Price isn't an object, but I don't want to get hosed...

What area of Philadelphia will you be in? Any preference on type of food?

if you are carnivores, go to Fogo de Chao. great meat selection, giant salad bar...or go to Le Bec FIn. Their lunch is also a great value for the money.

If the humidity isn't too bad consider sitting on Rittenhouse square at Rouge. It's a great setting and the food is good (not drop dead, but good) Or for that matter, get some good street food and picnic in Rittenhouse Square!
