Arroz con pollo

Where do you go for your fix?

Bonus points if:

- they around 20 mins from downtown
- not chunks of chicken, but bone-in with skin

Versailles has never let me down when it comes to arroz con pollo. It's bone-in (at least the last time I had it was). I think the closest location to Downtown is the La Cienega/Olympic location, but with no traffic (like that ever happens in LA) you could be there in 20 min.

Lucy's El Adobe use to be my favorite. Not so much anymore.

My favorite is at a Cuban restaurant, El Criollo in Van Nuys--family owned for about 20 years. I think they only have it on Sunday.

thanks for recs guys! I have a good list to start off with.
I just tried Baracoa, and it was delicious!
Moist flavorful chicken, but the rice stole the show!
              thanks Soniabegonia!
