Group of 12 - Early Dinner in Astoria or thereabouts

With the exception of Asian food, where would you recommend an early dinner that would be able to accommodate a group of 12.

Philoxenia gets my vote -- I've seen several big groups there -- and the food is fantastic.

Stamatis, a Greek restaurant on Broadway in the shadow of the N train, is always a reliable choice. Early in the evening, they will not have run out of anything. They do the grilled fish dishes, have a great octopus appetizer, and always have some interesting stews, vegetable and casserole dishes. I have often seen large parties there.
