I was curious if anybody knows where to get cilantro root in Seattle? Many recipes I have read have this listed as an ingredient but I have not found it anywhere. Any help or maybe a recommended substitute if there is one?
I purchased cilantro with the roots intact at Whole Foods last week. I've also seen it regularly at the Ballard Farmers Market. The flavor of the root is very similar to the leaves. So just use more of the leaves, if you're in a pinch.
Thanks for the heads up......I have tried Uwajimaya a few times and I seem to hit it on the days they are out, but will look again. And since I live in Ballard, I'll keep my out there too. Thanks again!!!!
