Power Lunch Scene near Hancock
NYC hound coming in to meet new private equity clients for lunch. Walking distance from Hancock Tower. Only thing I can think of would be Palms across the street in Copley. Greatly appreciate your advice.

If steak and power are the parameters, Grill 23 at Stuart and Berkeley works.

Another parameter - an important one at that - is that it be open for lunch.

My 1st choice too, but it's not open for lunch.

Power Lunches + Hancock = The Oak Room

I worked at JH for many years and enjoyed many a "power lunch."
Regular PL spots would include both the Oak Room and the Palm (though last time I ate at OR both the food and service were terrible) as well as Bristol Lounge in the 4 Seasons, the Cafe at the Taj (where the Hamster recently power breakfasted.)
People also power lunch at Abe and Louies, though it can be loud, and L' Espalier.
I'd recommend against Turner Fisheries.

Great list, Hamster. I'd add Davios on Arlington St. where I have seen power lunches in action and the food is pretty good as well.

When I take clients to steak power lunches in Back Bay it depends on the client as to where I go. Older PE clients I take to Oak Room and younger PE clients to Abe & Louie's. If it is mixed or it doesn't matter, go to A&L and get the filet mignon club. Oak room is where Judge Smails from Caddyshack would do lunch.

Thanks for making me pee myself. ROTFLMAO
You make a good point though.
Also, BBHound is right on with the Davio's rec.
