Willie Maes closed again

Stopped by for lunch at 11 on Saturday. Lights off, chairs on the table tops. This is about the 5th time to happen to us. Always have a plan B when going to WM. Ours was oyster poboys at Bozo's. Not in the cards either. On vacation till Tuesday. Plan C? Brooklyn Pizza. It was good, but just not what my mouth was ready for.

I wouldn't say that "Willie Maes closed again". It has never been open on a Saturday, even before the Storm.

I have eaten there on a Sat. Perhaps you should drive by and check their hours, posted on the door:. Open 11-3 Mon through Sat.

Last week I saw a printed ad for Willie Maes. It listed their hours as Mon - Fri: 11AM - 3PM. Looks like they need to change the hours listed on their door....unless there was an error in the ad.

Since you were at Willie Maes, why not stop by Parkway Bakery for oyster po boys? They are so close to where you were. Just wondering.

B/c IMO Bozos makes the quintessential oyster po boy. Besides, needed to stop by WF as well and prefer the one on Vets.

too bad about bozo's all the New Orleans basics just taste better there.

brooklyn pizza ia pretty awesome for a town that has few really killer pizza options. impressive slice sizes for the price, good sauce too!
