Local 188 in Portland for Lunch

Just had a wonderful lunch at Local 188. Ordered an open faced smoked salmon salad (listed on menu under salad, not sandwiches). It was served on a flat bread that had a layer of pepper-y cream cheese, the salad was mounded in the middle and had field greens, arugula, fresh fennel, fresh dill, capers, grape toms, and thin slices of red onion and cukes. A very generous portion of melt in your mouth smoked salmon was draped over the top of the salad - fabulous. Served with choice of pasta salad, potato salad or roasted potato spears. All for $8, and there is free parking in back of building - one of the best buys around!! We've had dinner there, and it has been packed. At lunch it was very quiet and relaxing, not crowded at all. Highly recommend.
