Fun, Trendy Dinner for my 26 year old boyfriend

ellabelle Jul 15, 2008 12:55 PM

I want to take my boyfriend out for his birthday towards the end of July. We both live in the city and eat out frequently in good restaurants, so I really want to take him somewhere that he will enjoy. Price is not a main concern; I don't want it to get ridiculously expensive but a couple hundred dollars would be okay including drinks or wine. Although it is a special occasion, I do not want to take him somewhere that is too much of the typical "special occasion" place (aka NOT somewhere like One if by land, Two if by Sea.) Something more along the lines of Tao is the feeling I'm going for, although it does not HAVE to be an overly trendy place. We both like to drink, so somewhere with a lively, fun scene where we could just have an awesome meal and a great time on a Thursday or Friday night would be ideal. I'd prefer to stay away from going all the way downtown/wall St, UES, or UWS. Thanks!!
