need recommendations for business dinner around union square, along the lines of gramercy tavern. thanks.

        Tocqueville (1 East 15th Street) has delicious food, great service and a beautiful venue.

            EMP and Craft are good suggestions. However, as much as I like Campanile, in terms of cuisine and ambiance, it is not in any way like Gramercy Tavern. And if we're talking strictly about cuisine, Tabla and Pamplona don't fit either.
