Resaurant Delivery Service in SF?

Isn't there some new restaurant delivery service here in SF? Waiters on Wheels style? I'm looking to get a gift certificate for a new mom and thought restaurant delivery would be right up her alley... She's in the Mission, if that matters, and is a bit of a foodie. Thanks!

    There are several...

    www.grubhub.com
    www.delivery.com
    and
    www.waiter.com

and of course, waiters on wheels.

You may want to check each one out to see if any of the menus appeal to you (and look like they'd be good for the mission).

As an aside, didn't luna park start local delivery? That might be fun, too.

I think grubhub.com and delivery.com are not delivery services, but rather are online portals for restaurants that do their own delivery.

True. And waiter.com is a combo of the two. They serve as a portal for some restaurants and provide delivery for others.

Love that Luna Park delivers now - goat cheese fondue in my very own living room? Thank you very much.

Yeah...none of those services really seem to have what I'm looking for and I could have sworn I saw an ad on a MUNI bus recently for something new with Mint or Metro in the title....ah well. I may just go the personal chef for a week route instead.

            That looks like another portal.
