Good Korean BBQ in OC & SGV?

Jaytizzle Jul 15, 2008 10:54 AM

Hey whats up everybody. New to this board and I love it. I live in Costa Mesa and was wondering if anybody could recommend a good Korean BBQ place in and around the area? Also my parents live in the SGV and I visit them a lot and was wondering if anybody could suggest anything out there? Thanks in advance!!

I can't find the name of the place but my sister went to an all you can eat Korean BBQ place in the plaza next to the San Gabriel Hilton and really liked it. Not as good as the places in Koreatown naturally but not bad for the SGV

      Young Dong Tofu
927 E Las Tunas Dr., San Gabriel 626-286-6031

It's located in the Albertson's shopping mall and next to Tokyo Lobby.

In OC, you should try Tsuruhashi a Japanese take on Korean BBQ in Fountain Valley.

18798 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Garden Grove and Buena Park are your OC destinations for KBBQ, with Irvine a distant, distant third. In Garden Grove I like Light Town House and Shik Do Rak on GG Blvd. (both between Brookhurst and Beach); the barbecue at Kaju Soft Tofu is also surprisingly not bad given that it's, well, a soondubu house.

In Buena Park, I like Sagan on Beach Blvd.

In Irvine, I guess Irvine Tofu House's barbecue is OK... too sweet, though.
