Looking to host 100 people near Ft Mason

Hello, I am looking to host 100 people for dinner near Ft Mason. Do you have any recommendations, besides Greens.

Thanks!

I agree with Carrie, renting a space at Fort Mason and hiring a caterer is your best bet.

      time of year?

Palace of Fine Arts will rent the island pavilion and catering can be staged but it can get brutally cold.

This may not be close enough for you, but Pres a Vi in the Presidio is an option. It offers parking, the restaurant is certainly large enough, and the food is pretty good.

I'm sure Pres a Vi could work with that group, but look at the floor plan
          http://web.mac.com/presavi/Pres_a_Vi/...

The private dining rooms combined seat up to 70. The patio 75 and a separate semi-private area 47 ... but not sure given the layout if 100 all together would work.

Other restaurants in the Presidio area ...

The Presidio Social Club has a private dining room for 30 seated and 50 standing. I'm not sure if a restaurant buy-out is available or it would fit that many people.

La Terrase has buyouts. Not sure how large a group they can accomodate, but the outdoor patio area would need to be involved.

Probably your best bet is to contact Fort Mason directly, book one of their rooms, and hire a caterer. The nearest restaurants are all Fisherman's Wharf and I'm not sure you'd want to host 100 people there (although Kuleto's could do it and they DO have some pretty rooms).

Agreed - and the Officer's Club (1 Fort Mason) is pretty reasonable to rent. I'm not sure if the space has a list of preferred/allowed caterers but we recently used Organic Chef Catering there and they were fantastic...
