Patio for group of 20, preferrably near the water
Hello!
Whenever help is required I can always rely on chowhound! I'm planning my company summer outing and am in need of a great patio location.
A spot somewhere on the water would be great but I'm not sure if that will happen. Any suggestions? I am looking for a casual environment.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

re: foxymoron
I was just about to suggest the same thing. On the water, large patio, great view, pretty good thin-crust pizza among other things, and they do groups.

Thank you both for your replies. Googs, I laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair!
I'm not sure that we're able to commute out east, I think we might need to forget the water idea and find a central spot in the city.
Any other recommendations for a group this size would be welcome! -

re: cowhound
Waterside Bistro's food is tragic and the service is slooooow. The room is far too shop worn for any company outing unless, perhaps, you're a member of the Banditos. Too bad. They have such a nice location. Now with the construction right next door it's less than idyllic.
If you're willing to travel beyond downtown Toronto's borders, Baelsette, you might try Bluffers at the bottom of the Scarborough Bluffs. No place on Lake Ontario is all that great, and this is no different. It's kinda the best of a bad lot. Restaurant on one level and a pub on the other. Patio attached to the restaurant has a lovely view of the lake and marina. Some will say the pub, Dog Fish, is the way to go. I still prefer Bluffers. Casual? It's Scarborough!
